European Horse Breeders: View a list of Quarter Horse, Paint Horse and Appaloosa frozen semen in storage at our European laboratories and available for breeding this season. This semen was frozen by Select Breeders Service laboratories under our strict quality standards.

The demand for frozen semen in Australia is increasing and Dr. Stuart Keller of Tamworth Equine in New South Wales, Australia, has responded with the addition of their mobile lab. The lab will be able to service stud farms with multiple stallions on location needing to be collected and have their semen frozen. The mobile lab also proves convenient for the stallion owner who may be reluctant to send their stallion to a collection facility for a few weeks due to a busy training schedule. The mobile labs in the U.S. and in Sweden have proven to be useful assets to reach a broader base of clients who otherwise would not be able to have their stallions' semen frozen and we're sure Tamworth will find the same is true. The Select Breeders Service Annual Meeting of Affiliated Laboratories was held December 10th and 11th 2009 at The Mandalay Bay Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada. Each year at the annual meeting an award is presented to the lab with the highest quality control score, this year the award for North America went to Pioneer Equine Hospital in California and was accepted by reproduction technician Ellen Kim. The award for Europe went to Equine Services in South Germany and was accepted by Nicole Oberstein.
Figure legend: Nicole Oberstein receives the award for Equine Services from Dr. Gianmaria Postinger, Director of Quality Control - Europe.
